At Soroi Larsen’s Camp in Samburu, a night in the starbed offers something quietly unforgettable. The bed sits beneath a glass top, open to the night sky. As you lie back, you can watch the stars move across the dark, clear sky—no filters, no barriers, just the rhythm of nature overhead.
The air is cool, the silence broken only by the distant call of hyenas and lions or the rustle of palms in the breeze. An outdoor bathroom lets you shower under the open sky, with the scent of local plants in the air.
If you choose, a private dinner can be served on the tower beside your bed—simple, quiet, and just for two. The lantern light flickers against the wood, and the horizon fades into soft blues and greys as night settles over the bush.
